Graphic and Multimedia Software

It is also known as digital imaging software. This software is used to create, edit, manipulate and print graphics. Graphics artists, engineers develop applications. Complex applications are developed with graphic and multimedia software. Graphic can be in the form of images, sketches, drawings, and small icons that are shown on the computer screen.


Graphic and multimedia software application are as follow:

  • Computer-Aided Design

CAD is a type of 3-D graphics. This software is designed for engineers and architects. Computer-aided design software can display objects from different angles.

    • Architects

Use this software to design structures of buildings.

    • Engineers

Use this software to create airplanes design and security systems.

  • Desktop Publishing Software

This software provides tools. Tools are used to create high-quality documents such as textbooks etc. This software provides the facility for users to use graphics, text, animation, transitions, and colors to make attractive and high-quality documents. Microsoft Word and Powerpoint are also used to create documents.

  • Paint Software

Paint software is used for painting, creating, and changing images. Paint Software provides a set of electronic pens, brushes, and colors for painting images on the computer screen. Tools are used to draw images, shapes. Professionals use this software to draw images shapes etc. This software is also called illustrator software.

  • Photo Editing Software

This software is used to modify any photo. This software provides different features such as crop, brighter, contrast, effects like shadow and glow, etc. The user also modifies any image from a cellphone. We can crop the unwanted picture, change the color of the pictures, increase the brightness of the pictures, etc.

  • Drawing Software

This software is used to draw something on the computer screen. It provides a set of lines, shapes, and colors to create different diagrams. We also use Microsoft word to draw any image in the document. We also change the color or the shape, text using this software.

  • Video and Audio Editing Software

This software is used by studios to edit and enhance the quality of the video.

    • Video Editing Software

It is used to edit videos. It can also be used to modify the length of the video or add different effects. We can also change the color of the video.

    • Audio Editing Software

It is used to modify audio. It is used to enhance the quality of audio. The audio quality is enhanced by removing background noise.
This software provides different features are as follow:

  • Multimedia Authoring Software

This software is also called Authorware. This software is used to combine graphics, video, music, animation, transition, text into an interactive presentation. These presentations are used on the computer.

  • Webpage Authoring Software

This software is used to create professional web pages. Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint provides the facility to save the document as a webpage. A webpage includes such as text, video, audio, image, animation, etc.
