Word Processing Software

Word processing is the type of application software. Word processing software is used to create, edit, update, documents. User makes assignments using word processing software. This software is used by organizations, universities, colleges, a business organizations for creating documents.

Presentation Software

Presentation software is the type of application software. This software provides different facilities to create presentations easily and quickly. The presentation consists of different slides. These slides contain data such as text, audio, images, and video for the audience.

Database Software

It is a type of application software. This software is a collection of organized data. Database software is also known as a database management system. The user uses this software to manage data in the database. Users also use this software to add, create, change, update and delete data in the database. The user accesses, retrieved, and use this data anytime, that are stored in a database. Database software is also used to create reports and forms.

Microsoft Access, Oracle, MySQL, etc.

Personal Information Managers

It is a type of application software. This software is installed on PDAs and smartphones. This software can manage different types of information such as reminders, notes, messages, and important appointments. A calendar appointment is used to schedule activities, the address book is used to enter, update and maintain addresses of people, and a notepad is used to record ideas, reminders, and other kinds of information.

Project Management Software

This software provides the facility to manage projects. This software helps the project managers to run the projects effectively and easily. This software is used for large projects, tracking project costs, and planning projects. It can be used in large projects such as the construction of big organization buildings, business buildings or housing scheme buildings, etc. This software also helps to finish projects on time and within budget.

Accounting Software

It is a type of application software. This software is used to track business finance and generate graphs to make business decisions. This software is used by professionals to manage accounts. It is also used to perform accounting operations.

Note Taking Software

This software helps to take notes during classroom lectures, office meetings or business meetings, etc. This software provides different features such as creating tab files, links, etc. This software allows typed and handwritten input. Students, organization people, business people use this software with a tablet or other devices.

Microsoft OneNote, Circus Ponies Notebook.

Software Suite

The software suite consists of a set of application software. All application software is installed when this software is installed. This software includes spreadsheet, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, database, contact managers, project management, and drawing applications. This software is easy to use. This software is less expensive.

Example:

Google Docs, Libre Office, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
